PATIENT PORTAL (HEALOW)

Healow Setup Instructions

We are pleased to offer Healow, our new patient portal! On this portal, you will able to:

  • View upcoming and past appointments
  • Communicate and message with your doctor and care team
  • Review lab results and referral history
  • Request medication refills
  • Access visit summaries and personal health record
  • Share access with a caregiver 

If you have questions or need access, please call our office (718) 591-2014 during business hours and a member of our team will assist you in getting a username and password.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Our staff will provide access to Healow upon patient registration and appointment check-in. You will receive a welcome email that will include: 

HOW DO I GET THE HEALOW APP ON MY MOBILE DEVICE?

After setting up your account, visit the patient portal (https://health.healow.com/jibmedical) to download the free Healow app for mobile use. Find us on the Healow app using our unique practice code: BIBEAD 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET MY USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD?

Using the website:

  1. Go to the patient portal website (https://health.healow.com/jibmedical)
  2. Click on ‘Trouble logging in’ below the password field and follow the instructions that appear to retrieve your username and/or password 

Using the app:

  1. Open the Healow app on your mobile device
  2. Tap on ‘Forgot Password or Username’ below the password field and follow the instructions that appear to retrieve your username and/or password 

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ACCOUNT GETS LOCKED OUT?

HOW DO I GIVE ANOTHER PERSON ACCESS TO MY PATIENT PORTAL?

WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE A SMARTPHONE? CAN I STILL USE THE PATIENT PORTAL?

Yes. You can log into the patient portal from an internet browser on your computer by clicking on this link: https://health.healow.com/jibmedical 

IS AN EMAIL ADDRESS REQUIRED FOR USING THE PATIENT PORTAL?

Yes. An email address is required. Please provide a valid email address to a member of our team. 

WHY DO I HAVE TO ACCEPT MULTIPLE PATIENT PORTAL CONSENT FORMS?

One of the consents you must agree to is our vendor’s consent. Our portal is powered by a vendor called eClinicalWorks and this consent outlines the terms and conditions under which eClinicalWorks makes the portal available. The second form is our practice’s consent that outlines the terms and conditions you are agreeing to when using the portal that is offered by our practice. The third form, if applicable, is our practice’s proxy access consent form that outlines the terms and conditions you are agreeing to when using the portal as a proxy user.

What is the PHBP?

PHBP is the Pension, Hospitalization and Benefit Plan of the Electrical Industry.  The Plan is a self-insured employee welfare benefit Plan under which Participants are covered for certain services relating to their health and are eligible for certain other benefits. The Plan is maintained by a Joint Board of Trustees consisting of Trustees appointed by Local Union No. 3 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, AFL-CIO (the “Union”) and employers under contract with the Union.
